One question

ArcBlock Multi IO: several inputs and outputs, one transaction

Compare a transfer format with a model of spendable outputs.

ArcBlock's multi-input, multi-output transfer is documented as TransferV3Tx. Its design draws inspiration from Bitcoin's UTXO transactions, but the input and output records describe different things.

What the records contain

The published format has two lists, inputs and outputs. Each entry names an owner, a list of token amounts and a list of asset identifiers. Here, an owner identifies the party associated with that entry. The transaction documentation also describes multi-party signatures when inputs come from several payers.

For example, two participants could contribute amounts to a transaction that assigns amounts to two recipients. This illustrates the many-to-many shape; actual authorization and validity depend on the chain's transaction rules.

What differs from Bitcoin UTXOs?

A Bitcoin input points to a specific previous transaction output, which is spent in full. ArcBlock's published Multi IO format instead organizes entries by owner, token amounts and assets. An input/output list does not, by itself, imply a UTXO ledger or Bitcoin's change-output rules.

The shared idea is to describe several contributions and destinations together. The distinction is how the ledger represents the assets being transferred. Return to Bitcoin UTXOs and change for the output-spending model, or ArcBlock transactions for the signed transaction that contains this operation.

Do multiple inputs make a transaction UTXO-based?

No. The format and the ledger model are different questions.
