ArcBridge: connecting ArcBlock and Ethereum
Understand the bridge without confusing it with an entire L2 chain.
ArcBridge connects ArcBlock's chain with other networks. Its January 2022 public-beta announcement documents a connection between ArcBlock's asset Main chain and Ethereum mainnet. This is historical evidence of the connection, not a current transfer guide.
One transfer, two networks
A cross-chain transfer has a source network and a destination network. An application needs to track both sides and the bridge's completion condition. A successful source transaction alone does not establish that the destination asset is available.
The announcement describes a bridge mechanism named “DID Rollup.” That name does not establish that the entire ArcBlock L1 uses the same settlement design as Base. Compare the actual verification and exit mechanisms.
Old beta transfer limits, retired test networks and estimated processing times are not current operating instructions. Use the ArcBridge product page to find current resources before planning an integration.
Applications and assets explains why this connection matters to ArcBlock's application focus.

What does the ArcBridge connection establish?
It provides a cross-chain asset connection; it does not make the two chains one ledger.
